Oxiris, the Samba Band from Wirral have performed
at many festivals, events and carnivals since their formation in 2002.
They perform regularly throughout the North West. They have taken part
in 'Fated',
a feature film starring Craig Charles, Brendan McKay (Touching The Void)
Michael Angelis, Kate Robbins, Lee Boardman (ex Coronation St) etc. For

Samba
Drumming Workshops
Samba drumming gets everyone involved in a dynamic,
fun, and educational activity. Samba music is for everyone. It's rewarding
to become part of a large group of people ceating a unified 'groove' or
'rhythm'. We hold various courses at various times and hold weekly workshops
for beginners. We can provide all instruments and tuition for workshops
for your company, organization, or school. For more information about

Then follow the 'maestre' and beat out the fabulous samba rhythms.
Performances
Oxiris perform exciting percussiive grooves in a variety of styles,
from the 'batucada' carnival rhythms of Rio De Janerio to the Western
Hip Hop and funk. Although primarily a percussion band we can incorporate
a brass section upon request. The funky 'Oxiris Horns' will get you
