Oxiris, the Samba Band from Wirral have performed
at many festivals, events and carnivals since their formation in 2002.
They perform regularly throughout the North West. They have taken part
in 'Fated',
a feature film starring Craig Charles, Brendan McKay (Touching The Void)
Michael Angelis, Kate Robbins, Lee Boardman (ex Coronation St) etc. For

Samba
Drumming & Dance Workshops
Samba drumming and dance gets everyone involved in a dynamic,
fun, and educational activity. We hold two seperate workshops for drumming and for dance.The workshops are for beginners and no previous experience is necessary. As well as the weekly drumming and dance we hold various courses such as songs from the Brazilian culture, conga drumming, snare drum technique etc.. For more information about

Then follow the 'maestre' and beat out the fabulous samba rhythms.
Performances
Oxiris perform exciting percussiive grooves in a variety of styles,
from the 'batucada' carnival rhythms of Rio De Janerio to the Western
Hip Hop and funk. Although primarily a percussion band we can incorporate
a brass section upon request. The funky 'Oxiris Horns' will get you
